Letter from the President

At the outset I would like to take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all my friends who have helped me in the fulfillment of the mission of “Ray of Hope” so far. A lion’s share of the credit for its success goes to all my friends who have been a pillar of support throughout this journey.

I would also like to express my gratitude towards all the donors (contributors) for having contributed generously for this good cause. This financial support coming from them has gone a long way in meeting the monetary obligations associated with the mission of “Ray of Hope”. The donors have been people from various categories of the society with varied income levels right from a fruit juice seller, jobless friends in the US to people occupying higher positions in the society. I would also like to express my gratitude towards wholesalers and shopkeepers who have offered special discounts on stationary, clothes, books, water filter, rice, electric motor etc. Off late there have been various MNCs in the country who have shown interest towards this cause which have further boosted our morale.

I would also express my heartfelt thanks to my parents, my family and all my relatives as they have been my driving force throughout the mission.

But the journey so far has been quite a roller coaster ride for us but the support and trust shown by all the people associated with this mission have made us reach the goals set by us in a short span of time. Seeing this strong support and encouragement coming from all the quarters, we have decided to start up our own NGO under the same name “Ray of Hope”. There was this instance where I chanced to meet this small kid in an orphanage who seemed so innocent and lovable but I was taken aback when I came to know that she had a hole in her heart. She needs our support and not mere sympathy. This NGO is an effort to reach out to so many such underprivileged people across the country who are in distress and need our immediate attention. This noble cause is now no more confined to a particular place or a state but has spread across the country. We (along with friends of mine) have recently been to an orphanage in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and served the children residing out there and   continuing the work. This note is, in a way to spread this message across million others who can contribute towards this noble cause in various ways and make a difference in the lives of so many such people – people who are deprived of even the bare minimum that are required for existence in this world. And most importantly because GOD has given us all so much and contributing a small part of it for the upliftment of the downtrodden is as good as serving HIM.

Therefore, friends please join hands and contribute generously towards this noble cause in whatever way you can and bring in hope and sunshine into the lives of so many others in this world who are your brothers and sisters as we are all GOD’s children.

Thank you for your participation in these life giving projects.
